Welcome to Super Moms Make Money!
I am Razia, a proud single mother of two amazing sons presently living in the United States. After relocating from my home country, Bangladesh, about 25 years back, I started Super Mom Make Money in 2017 with the intention of spending more quality time with my sons and to empower other super moms out there.
It was difficult growing up in the third world country. To give you some insight I wasn’t allowed outside after 6 pm. There were many more restrictions for a female back then in Bangladesh. This was the fuel that began my belief and journey for female empowerment, freedom, and equality. Thus, I have a great desire to listen, support and empower other women. This Lead to me being the “Black Sheep” in the family. I am so glad Bangladesh has changed for women since I left. Women now have more freedom that has empowered them to pursue things they want to do in their lives like women do in first world countries such as the United States. Now Bangladesh has their Supermoms. Thanks to “Social Media.”
In my second year of marriage, I got a job opportunity to work with the World Bank, and this made it possible for me to leave my country to work legally in the United States of America. On arrival to the United States, I found it difficult to start up life in a strange land with my children and being a single mother initially. I had no one to turn to for assistance and support because I was single and a long way from home. I had to brace myself humbly, started working, fend for my family until eventually, things became better.
As things became better with the limelight of thriving in the USA, I received the greatest shock of my life. My eldest son, Eresh, was diagnosed with a mental disorder. I was very downcasted on hearing the medical report, but as time has it, it took me five years to come to terms with the reality of the news. Right now, I have perfectly mastered the art of taking care of my son, and I receive great pleasure and pride in doing so. Nevertheless, my youngest son, Sam has made me very proud as he graduated with good grade from the university. He is also very much involved in public and youth development activities.
My experience in life has taught me that life is full of ups and downs with a bright and a sad side. It’s may never go according to our plans and expectations, but at the end of the day, the way we handle difficult situations will help make a difference between a sad life and a pleasure filled one. I never planned on giving birth a mentally ill son, but now I can use my experience of caring for my son to teach other mothers how to care for their loved ones with similar health challenges.
From the onset, as a young single mother of two living as an immigrant mom in the United States, I have achieved a lot of things, include getting my personal home and raising two happy and fulfilled children.
I know that there are so many other Super Moms just like me out there. My goal is for us all to be inspired, equipped, empowered and connected as we travel this Super Mom journey together in health, wealth and have Fun!
